I am looking for a ride to Indy for GenCon and a place to stay. Will obviously pay my share. I would prefer to leave late on Tursday or early Friday, and come back Sunday but my schedule may be flexible. I'm in Cedar Rapids if anyone didn't know. I can drive, but would prefer not to use my car.

I've got a room that can potentially fit two more people in it, but am going to be coming from the other side of the country so I can't give rides.

Edit: Two blocks from the Convention Center.

I may be riding with Crump and Fox, but our communication has been awful thus far. I don't foresee getting a hotel being a big problem, but maybe I'm an idiot and won't be able to get a room within 10 miles. . .

When I went a few years ago, we were like 10 mins from the site, and it was fine. Getting to GenCon was super easy... Just note we did stay only 1 day so we just used the public ramp next to the event.

I hope this doesn't affect anybody, but the Days Inn closest to the convention center closed. And no, they didn't tell anyone, not even the GenCon staff.

no, the water in that hotel was the blade, literally. showering there seared your skin off like a thousand mini razors. stayed there with eddie and crile a few years ago.

Ouch.. that'll piss some people off. Mostly gamers though, so only has gamer rage.

I don't know. Some gamers can hold on to a grudge for a pretty long time. I think you know what I'm getting at.

If you're gonna be at GenCon and want to see Boonie's Arc-Slogger mat, I'll be using it. I'm intending to draft a couple of times in between other things.
